The public is further notified that this office will no longer accept:
- Photocopied document (s) unless they are notarized by a Justice of the Peace or a Notary Public. We will no longer accept copies of correspondence from the Minister of Home Affairs and Public Safety and the Immigration Department for the processing of permit (s). The original document (s) MUST be presented.
- Failure to comply will result in your application (s) not being processed.
Effective June 1, 2007 the Turks and Caicos Immigration Board will process and have ready for collection: permits, correspondence and refunds within the following time periods:
1. First Time Permits
First time applications will be processed as follow:
a. Application (s) from country (s) that do not require a visa for entry into the Turks & Caicos Islands, kindly allow thirty (30) days after the completion of a meeting.
b. Application (s) from country (s) that require a visa for entry, kindly allow thirty (30) days after you have completed the intent process.
c. All first time applications where the Minister of Home Affairs and Public Safety has granted approval on appeal, kindly allow thirty (30) days from the date of submission of your original letter (s) for processing.
2. Permit Renewals
Fourteen (14) days after the completion of a meeting
3. The Board will undertake to provide the following services within Fourteen (14) days:
· All Correspondence after the completion of a meeting;
· All permit (s) correction (s);
· All approval permit (s) endorsement (s).
4. Refunds
Kindly allow Sixty (60) days after completing the refund process for the collection of cheque (s) from the Treasury in the various islands.
Any other permit queries or general information pertaining to the Immigration Board’s Office MUST be addressed to Miss Alice Williams, Office Secretary in my absence.
