First time (employed) work permit application

1. Completed application form signed by employer and applicant;
2. Local medical certificate obtained within six months;
3. Two passport sized photos;
4. Labour clearance;
5. Covering letter;
6. Copy of employer's passport showing photo page or in the case of a business, copy of business license and payment receipt;
7. Proof of legal status or proof of departure;
8. Required deposit (separate from work permit fee);
9. Police record (police records are not accepted from Haiti and Dominican Republic).

Countries that require a visa to enter when submitting a first time application all of the above listed requirements are to be attached except:

1. Medical certificate
2. Employment visa

PLEASE NOTE:
Applicants from countries requiring a visa to enter the Turks & Caicos Islands must first submit the permit application to the board without a visa. Once the board has approved the application a letter of intent will be issued to employer.

The employer will in turn have to submit to the Immigration Department a copy of the letter, along with the other visa requirements for an employment visa to be issued. A copy of the visa must be submitted to the board along with any other requirements the board may have asked for.

Once this process is completed the permit card will then be processed for issue.

Renewal of work permit

1. Work permit card;
2. Local medical certificate;
3. Covering letter;
4. Labour clearance;
5. Copy of employer's passport, if in a business name business license and receipt payment;
6. Two passport photos;
7. Copy of passport photo page;
8. Local police record.

First time (self- employed) work permit application

1. Covering letter;

5. Financial bank statement;
6. Copy of business license and payment receipt;
7. Proof of legal status or proof of departure;
8. Required deposit (separate from work permit fee);

Renewal (self- employed) work permit application

1. Covering letter;
2. Original self-employed permit card;
3. Local medical certificate obtained within six months;
4. Two passport sized photos;
5. Financial bank statement;
6. Copy of business license and payment receipt;
7. Police record (police records are not accepted from haiti and dominican republic);

Endorsement of spouse to a permit

1. Medical certificate;
2. Two passport sized photos;
3. Certified copy of marriage certificate. (translated if need be);
4. Copies of passport pages showing photo page and entry or departure stamps;
5. Fee $150.00.

Endorsement of children

1. Copy of certifid birth certificate (translated if need be)
2. Copies of passport pages showing photo page and entry or departure stamps.
3. Two passport sized photos
4. Fee $50.00

Permit refund

1. Letter requesting refund by employer;
2. Original payment receipt;
3. Proof of departure:
   1. Copy of ticket;
   2. Departure stub.

PLEASE NOTE:
Employers only are qualified to apply for refunds. One hundred dollars ($100.00) will be deducted from the refund as administrative fee.
